LAST YEAR...

OCTOBER 21, 2007

Three thousand people converged at the AIDS Memorial Grove in Discovery Meadow to help raise over $185,000 for HIV/AIDS services and prevention programs. Walk For AIDS Silicon Valley is a 10K walk to raise funds for local HIV/AIDS programs. It is the largest fundraising event for HIV/AIDS services and prevention programs in Santa Clara County. Our benefiting agencies reach over 30,000 people annually with education and information, and more than 5,000 people through direct services. Walk For AIDS Silicon Valley provides vital funds for these programs in time of reduced government funding for local AIDS programs and growing need.

Currently in its 18th year the Walk unites concerned individuals, families and corporations in the local fight against HIV/AIDS. In 2005 nearly 1,200 participants generated approximately $125,000. It is our goal to make the 2007 walk an even bigger success through more participants, higher fundraising goals and more fun!
